Guest guest
Hello friends! I've recently signed up for a FREE Loose It account http://www.loseit.com and am on day 2 of tracking my calories. I KNOW that counting calories is NOT the be-all, end-all of health, but it is a factor, and I found out something very interesting just from my first day of tracking my caloires - namely, that I wasn't eating enough!!! I eat so many veggies (which are low in calories) that it turns out that for dinner I had to add a tbs. of butter (100 calories) and 1/2 of an avocado (140 calories) to bring my calories up! Perhaps THAT is part of why my metabolism has been so sluggish lately - not enough calories? Another very interesting thing that happened because I was tracking (mindfulness) my calorie intake and outflow - was the fact that I exercised in the evening JUST to get some exercise recorded for the day. I usually exercise in the morning and if the morning is too busy - that's it for that day, I just wait for the next day. But because I wanted to record something, I took the kids to a park and walked the dogs for 45 minutes and it turned out to be a BRISK walk! Woo Hoo! Did you know that it is scientifically proven that JUST THE ACT of recording a behavior (ANY BEHAVIOR) changes it? And usually for the better! If anyone wants to sign up and make me a friend - I'd be thrilled, because I would like to have the extra motivation http://www.loseit.com/index.jsp#Motivators Blessings, Lea Ann Savage Satellite Beach, FL (321) 773-7088 (home) (321-961-9219 (cell) www.VitamixLady.com www..com <))><
