Guest guest
You probably know this already, but Vietnam Vets suffering from non Hodgkins lymphoma are entitled to compensation from the Veterans Administration. I have a copy of this book (Beating Cancer WithNutrition) and tried to GIVE it to a friend who's husband was battlingnon-hodgkin's lymphoma and she declined. Some people just do NOT want toassume personal responsibility for their own health. They want a "quick fixor a "pill" or a "cut it out" answer, and they don't realize or won'tconsider that these solutions either: 1) won't work long term, or 2) domore harm than good. The number of people are looking to solve health problems at the root causeis a minority (because this always involves changes in diet). But I don'tblame them, it is not easy and sometimes death and/or illness is easier thanmaking positive health changes FOR SOME. We all take the path of leastresistance IMO. It is just that for some, changing unhealthy habits IS thepath of least resistance because the pain of illness is worse FOR THEM. Forothers, the illness is the path of least resistance because making thechanges is just too overwhelming for whatever reason.Blessings,Lea Ann SavageSatellite Beach, FL(321) 773-7088 (home)(321-961-9219 (cell)))><On'>www.VitamixLady.comwww..com<))><On Jun 5, 2011, at 11:48 AM, Cat Lady wrote:Just got this book from Vitamix Friday, didn't use LeaAnn cause it didn'tcost very much , not worth her while.lolIt's called beating cancer with nutrition, no it's not for me but, I read itquick anyway.lol It's for someone at work who was diagnosed about 4 wks agowith colon cancer and it's metastasized to her liver in three places, notgood. They are doing the chemo thing with her and she is in denial believing thechemo will heal her, which is good and bad. Now she is starting to feel thebad side effects of chemo, anyway I digress. The book says we all have cancer, our bodies just have the nutritionavailable everyday to kill the cells. She does eat bad stuff and verylittle good stuff. Hot dogs, red meat, almost no fruits and little veggies.Hoping this bookWill help her. It also says that regular sugar feeds cancer and herecommends stevia and xylotol. Nothing else, he hasn't updated about Agaveyet. Thought you guys and gals might want to know that, if you don'talready. He says to take the chemo along with changing the nutrition and tells you toeat lots of fruit and veggies giving the best cancer fighting ones, sayingthat this has been known to combat cancer. Nutrition along with regulartherapy. He is a well-know doctor that works with cancer patients so, I am hoping forher and learning what I can before I can give her the book Monday, may endup buying one for myself when I can afford it, a lot of good advise in thereDid give her my old Montel blender, yes I know, Vitamix would bebetter but, just can't afford to buy one for her and with all her medicalbills, she can't afford them. She is devouring smoothies right now and Idigress again.lolJust wanted you all to know what the doctor says about sugar, good nutritionand he encourages if you eat meat to use fish a lot, but doesn't tell youto stop eating meat entirely. I would say go to grass feed only if you arestill a meat eater, no gmo, no hormones, etc. That's just my opinion. ------------------------------------
