Guest guest
The CPAP has been very helpful for . He has used it for almost three years and it has relieved most, if not all, of his symptoms of sleep apnea. I highly recommend it. Our biggest problem is running it every night as his younger brother comes into the room and unplugs it or tips it over and here in Missouri we have so many thunderstorms (even with our ice storm last night!!!) that I do not like the idea of hooked to something electric during an electrical storm. I highly recomend it over the TSA. Dad to , Kristi, and (all three Down syndrome) and (Cri du chat) Husband to C. in Mo. Uncle Daddy to and in Calif. Does anyone have issues with Sleep Apnea and wearing the CPAP and still having their child wake up? We experience with (8) every night. I missed the study at Vanderbilt on this very issue as they have wrapped it up. A friend of mine took her 6 year old to Vanderbilt for the study last week. Same issues as ours. Just wondering if anyone else has had this and if there has been any suggestions on treatments, etc. Rebekah Oklahoma Mom 2 , 8 with DS/CP Mom 2 Jo, 2 1/2 --------------------------------- Looking for last minute shopping deals? Guest guest
My son Isaac will be 9 tomorrow and he has used a Bi-Pap for nearly 2 years now. It has greatly improved his length of sleep, and also I think he sleeps " deeper " than he used to. Typically when he wakes up during the night now it is because the tubing has become disconnected and it sounds an alarm until I reconnect it. That usually happens one -two times a night and usually during the 3 o'clock hour for some reason! -Jill Illinois, Mom of Isaac, (DS) and Lydia Sleep Apnea and CPAP Thought I'd post a different thread on this subject.
