Guest guest
Personally, I think you would be far better off to purchase organic fruits and veggies, and just make your own veggie wash with a bit of peroxide, baking soda and a squeeze of fresh lemon, stored in a spray bottle. Give your veggies a spritz, brush any heavily soiled areas with a veggie brush, and rinse well. Despite the many claims of veggie washing machines, they will NOT remove pesticide residues. First, the fruits and veggies take up pesticides into the fruit that won't wash off. Second, by their very nature, pesticides are designed to adhere during the growing season and do not wash off readily. Part of the reason for washing even organics is because so may people handle each one in the process of getting it to the store, but the above veggie wash should do the trick. I was wondering if anyone has had any good/bad experiences with this device and how well it works. Thanks in advance. Dave
