Excessive urination is a sign of diabetes. Myah has lost 11 pounds since May. Also a sign. I took her to the pediatrician because she just didn't seem well and was down to 38 pounds. I asked the neruo about the night wetting on Tuesday and he told me to cut fluids, but she was just too thirsty to do that-something was not right. She is on Adderall, but she was losing weight faster than at the beginning of the treatment. Thursday I counted how much she drank when she got home from school and it was 70 ounces in 3 hours. When I took her they did blood work and found her to be diabetic. The doc said she's probably been running around with 500 sugars for months, but that we caught it early so that she has only mild acidosis. She was very dehydrated when I got her to the doc and slept on the waiting room floor. It was very odd. I think we got there just in time. Spilios Re: Myah's weight loss Oh ,poor Myah...poor you.
