Guest guest
Ok, I had to try it too. It was really good! A From: flnancy1958 Sent: Tuesday, June 07, 2011 3:56 PM Subject: Ice tea experiment This afternoon I added some ice tea to half a tall glass (to measure) and poured it into the Vitamix. Then I pitted a fresh peach (left skin on) and added that along with some fresh mint. I blended it up and then added ice to the tall glass to measure again and then added it to the container. Very refreshing. Might need a bit more sweetner but a good first attempt. Fresh mint is wonderful!
Guest guest
I am glad you liked it. I can't believe I am comfortable enough now to just experiment and not follow a true recipe. > > Ok, I had to try it too. Guest guest
I got some sparkling pomegranate juice. It's very tasty. I think i'll try it combined with some tea Sent from my iPad On Jun 7, 2011, at 5:59 PM, <solomon@...> wrote: > And I looked at peaches at costco the other day and did not get any. Guess I will try the strawberries tonight. I have been making cold brewes herbal and green tea instead of sun tea (today it is finally sunny after weeks of clouds and rain). I am surprised at how well the cold brew works. We were all amused (we are easily amused) yesterday watching the jar after I dropped in several green tea pomegranite tea bags. It looked like a red waterfall in there for a while. > Velda > > Ice tea experiment > > > > > This afternoon I added some ice tea to half a tall glass (to measure) and poured it into the Vitamix. Guest guest
At a farmer's market had some ice tea with citrus slices in a big jar. I think what I am liking about my ice tea concoction is the slushie factor. It is probably all good. Just like Teavana blends all these different flavors, think our ice teas will be different and flavorful. Keep posting different combinations, please. from Florida > > > And I looked at peaches at costco the other day and did not get any. Guess I will try the strawberries tonight. Guest guest
Hi everyone, I haven't been " around " lately (well, actually a few months) and I know I've missed valuable informatiom from all of you. I'm just wondering when you put mint in your iced tea, is there a particular kind of mint you use? I was at my local nursery yesterday and noticed in their fresh grown herb section, there was peppermint and spearment. I'd like to buy one, but which would you suggest? And you just put in some of the leaves in your drink, right? Thanks, April :-) > > > > Ok, I had to try it too. Guest guest
I think it is all personal taste. I stumbled upon orange mint and it has been thriving in my container garden. I have heard not to just plant any sort of mint because it will spread out of control. If you have the space, try a few varieties. I also have a pineapple mint growing and am looking for ginger mint. > > > > > > Ok, I had to try it too. Guest guest
You are probably right so I defer to your knowledge. However, it sounded like a great experiment. > & gt; & gt; > & gt; & gt; & gt; I think it is all personal taste. I stumbled upon orange mint and it has been thriving in my container garden. Guest guest
Any new varieties this summer? I added a bit of lime and extra stevia sweetner but has that slushie texture.
