Guest guest
That's just crazy. The Magic Bullet is the easiest thing to clean -- it usually takes me less than 10 seconds using a bottle brush on the cup and the blade attachment. And I only need to keep the base and one cup with one blade attachment on the counter. As the infomercial says, it takes about as much space on your counter as a coffee mug. And I do like that I can put the cup in the microwave. However, the infomercial does vastly overrate what the MB is capable of. I would love to see a version of the infomercial where they don't have any cuts to hide the process they are doing. I would never attempt to chop onions unless I want puree/juice. I used to have a VitaMix, but gave it to my uncle. I just found it too big and bulky. I recently bought a Ninja, but I still bring out the MB for the times I just need a quick puree of something. Again, it's SOOOO much easier to clean than the Ninja. And I'm so afraid I'm going to cut myself on those Ninja blades, since I'm such a klutz. Guest guest
I have had mine (and given it quite a workout) for years. Mine is the type that has the bun warmer on top. My daughters friends often use it for making panini sandwiches-it is one of the few appliances THEY are allowed to play with, lol. Guest guest
I've had a Tribest for several years. It's used more than my Vita mix, I list it as indispensable. Chuck I went down the street to the 24-hour grocery. When I got there, the guy was locking the front door. I said, " Hey, the sign says you're open 24 hours. " He said, " Yes, but not in a row. Guest guest
I have a Bullet that is 3 years old and only used it a few times, because I found it just did not chop as well as advertised. When I want to chop a small amount (up to a cup or so) I have a Cuisinart Mini Processor which costs I think either $25 or 35 at Costco. It has only 3 parts which go in dishwasher-container, lid and blade. It replaced a Krups model of a similar chopper. I LOVE them. They are on counter and used almost daily, because of reasons you state, Hate to grab Vm when it's for chopping only say a cup of onion. Love my VM but also love my mini processor. Over the years I have collected many gadgets and have no more storage space for new ones ; so we imposed a new rule ten years ago I can’t buy anything new but I can buy replacements as long as something goes I can get a new one.  I have bent this rule a few times and broke it a couple of times. Guest guest
I have owned the same Excaliber (electric) dehydrator for over 20 years. I am very happy with it, both quality and how it works. Noise wise, it does make some, but I can tell you, I have it out in my sunroom, right off my living room and with glass door shut, I have to open the door and listen to know if it is still running, so not that noisy. Are they any good? Goes without saying, I am still using mine at past 20 years and it had just one repair a couple of years ago when a heat controller died. Owner of company fixed it because I live close, but you may never need repairs as he said they have improved that part, and after all it did last nearly 20 years before needing that. Guest guest
I also HIGHLY recommend the Excalibur dehydrator. I have had mine for years, and run it all night, EVERY night (I run mine at night so I don't have to listen to the fan during the day)...It is NOT exceptionally loud, about like a standard floor fan, but I like peace in my kitchen and since I am in it all day, I just prefer to run mine at night. I am working on a group deal pricing arrangement for the Excalibur now-if it goes through, I can get us better pricing than you will find elsewhere. (I don't make anything by doing this) I will post an update when I know if we can get it) >I do a lot of canning and dehydrating and the Chop Wizard comes in handy for that.
