Guest guest
Surgery is for those who cannot be controlled (BP and K) by diet and meds in my 40 year experience. But it is an individual risk benefit analysis that must be done. Await adrenal vein results. Some women get irregular menses on Spiro not enough long term experience with Inspra yet. My blood pressure doctor already recommends surgery based on my results, but I hate the thought of surgery. I understand only 33% of all adrenalectomy patients are cured, 33% reduce meds, and 33% do not benefit much or at all from the surgery. I further understand from a wonderful doctor with whom I have been communicating at the University of CT that her female Spiro patients have little or no side effects, except the positive ones of reducing facial hair and acne. What are your thoughts? Ann PS: I will post my AVS results and their recommendations after my appointment. May your pressure be low! Clarence E.
