Guest guest
You can get sprouted quinoa in bulk at Linden Hills Coop. We usually mix it half and half with sprouted brown rice (another in Linden Hills bulk section). We are true fans of it at our house. Can also make a nice tabouli with it instead of using bulgur wheat. > > Sent from my iPhone > > On Mar 29, 2011, at 6:49 PM, Becca Griffith <becca.griffith@...> wrote: > > > While I'm still thinking about quinoa, I'm passing along my one of my top 10 > > favorite recipes. Guest guest
Good to know! Linden Hills is not on my usual route (am in south metro) but would be worth a trip to get the sprouted in bulk as the one I buy is way too pricy. Thanks! Guest guest
Should uncooked quinoa be stored in the fridge? And how long can it be stored before cooking it up? TIA > > Good to know! Guest guest
I purchased some Quinoa today. It came in bulk. Seems like if it is in the seed form that it should not have to be in the fridge. Put 1/4 cup flax meal and 1/2 cup Quinoa meal together put milk on it. Tasted great. Cheaper than candy bars by the pound in bulk. Guest guest
Any unground seed such as quinoa does not need to be refrigerated as the whole seed preserves itself. Although mine never last that long on the shelf, I would be comfortable with any whole seed sitting on my shelf up to 1 year, although ancient societies stocked seeds in granaries for decades in case of famine. Guest guest
Recently purchased a large bag of organic quinoa from Costco. Has anyone tried grinding quinoa up and putting it in a smoothie? TIA, Carol
