Guest guest
Today when I was at Curves, the Boss/Owner was there. Had not seen her in a while and she asked how I was. I told her I was still tired from the influenza/pneumonia/sinus infection I had a month ago but was building my strength back, so taking it easy yet. I said I have restarted my Veggie/fruit smoothies in my VM. She got " this look " and says, " Well you really ought to add some protein powder to get enough protein " . I hesitated, because I knew what I wanted to tell her, but not exactly how to say it. I mean, she does sell Curves Protein Shake mix and is an RN (as am I) and trained by Curves in Nutrition and Diet. I briefly got out that veggies have more protein than meat, then her phone rang and she did not come back. (Whew). So, how do I give a brief statement (not wanting to get into a debate, just indicate to her I do know what I am talking about, when it comes to protein and veggies). She was just being nice, I think, but on the other hand, I don't think she has a clue on protein in veggies. What would you say to her? I am looking for a one liner which will set her straight, or at least get her thinking. Velda
