Guest guest
This week had my first taste of broccoli rabe. It was wonderful, but cooked. Boiled slightly first. Drained and then sauteed with olive oil and lots of garlic. It was boiled to get rid of the bitter taste according to my Mother. However, has anyone used it raw in the Vitamix? Curious for a new adventure.
Guest guest
I haven't had it raw but I never blanch it before sautéing. I cut it up raw and toss it right into the hot pan with olive oil and garlic, add some crushed red pepper, cook until tender and pour over pasta. I love the bitterness. My husband does not. Guest guest
That preparation is called "aglio e olio" (garlic and olio) and it's delicious, isn't it? I think broccoli rabe is one I'd leave for the skillet. Broccoli Rabe This week had my first taste of broccoli rabe. It was wonderful, but cooked. Boiled slightly first.
