Guest guest
I found out I had bilaterial hyperplasia in July 2004. My BP was 240 over 120 and was hopitilized. I had headaches for months without realizing this could be BP. I was too busy working and thought it was stress. I started on spironolactone 100MG per day then up to 200MG with hytrin 1MG. BP is now 137/90. My doctor just increased the spiro to 250MG. I have high a BP, high cortisol, and high antibodies. I have no thyroid to be able to produce high antibodies. I also had my thyroid and parathyroids removed years ago and am cancer free. I have been taking synthroid 1MG for years. I am now on Cytomel 25mg for this for three weeks until I have a thyroid scan. My doctor is gong back to the thyroid to see what is going on. My doctor said I am going to be a challenge. It is interesting to know that the thyroid has so much to do with the adrenal glands. It could be an important link to the adrenal gland. My question is: How much of a dosage of spiro can a person safely take? Any info is appreciated. Thanks Donna K
