If I had the money, I would invest in an orchard. Warmly, Pam I would be pleasantly surpized if teenagers ate the DASH diet-keep buying it is my recommendation. It will be the best investment in their future you can make-except keeping them from smoking. Remember, fatty streaks, the precusros of heart and vascular disease have been laid down by the early teens. CE Grim, MD

Guest guest
I'm not pregnant yet. We're waiting to start trying until we figure this out (plus my husband is on a drug that might cause birth defects, so we're waiting to hear more about that issue too). > Pregnancy should help to keep your pressure normal if you don't have any complications. I guess the hormones react to the aldosterone and lowers it. I had/have PA and my pressure was completely normal during pregnancy. 3 days after delivery each time it started to go back up. good luck. > Off Spiro and blood pressure has remained low! > > > I went off spironolactone on March 6 (to prep for getting pregnant and > going onto a safe blood pressure med)and my bp has remained low ever > since (~117/76). Guest guest
I was on sprionolactone for 4-5 years before I stopped. I hope I am a success story, but I'm waiting to get the blood work back. > I went off spironolactone on March 6 (to prep for getting pregnant and > going onto a safe blood pressure med)and my bp has remained low ever > since (~117/76). Guest guest
Healing self from PA. If you feel PAs right the BP will be much better and may be able hold HTN at bay by diet. CE Grim, MD
