I know that Silver was and is used in Activated Charcoal Water Filters to keep the bacterial count low, since water left in the Filter, when NOT in use, can stagnate and allowing bacteria to grow. The way, that I understand the Charcoal process (simplified) is that wood or coconut shell is cremated in a high-temperature oven/furnace and then is steamed, creating microscopic tunnels (Activated) around and through the Charcoal, that is produced. Any contaminants in gases and/or liquids, that pass across and/or through the Activated Charcoal will be ADSORBED (NOT absorbed) by an opposite electrical attraction. I know that there is Activated Charcoal in Dr. Schulze's Intestinal Formula #2, but I'm pretty sure that there is NO Colloidal Silver (see my previous post) in it! If you took enough of the #2, you would NOT have detox symptoms, NO matter what herb or therapy, that you were doing, but then that would get to be very expensive, because it normally takes 6-8 tsps. minimum (one tsp./8 oz. pure water) of Activated Charcoal, while detoxing, let alone how much #2, that you would need to take to do the same job of ADSORPTION (NOT absorption). Are there any general rules of thumb regarding activated charcoal? Like, what would be the maximum safe dosage? I can get it pretty cheap (high quality bulk). Also, it would make sense that it would adsorb any nutrients, so you would want to take it separate from everything else, but how long in between green drinks etc? Thanks Tom Marcus
Guest guest
>I can get it pretty cheap (high quality bulk). ***** Hi , How much? I just order some in bulk from the National School of Naturopathy. Tom talked about the large amounts that would need to be taken for detox. Ray Peat talks about this too. I am looking forward to trying it. Can't remember what the cost of mine is (I ordered 5 bucks worth) but will let you know. Thanks Tom Marcus _______________________________________________ , Hi! I don't have any extra money right now, but I would still like to know what price you can get the Activated Charcoal in bulk. Is it Willow Charcoal? You can email me off-list with the price. " Thanks " much! This is the dosage schedule from the following Web-Page. Take 1 tsp. per 8 oz. glass of PURE water (2-3 times/day - well; 6-8 times/day - sick; 10-12 times/day - serious illness). http://members.tripod.com/~healingtools/thn5.html See my previous post to you about the nutrient controversy.
