Guest guest
Does anyone know where/how to get Primal Defense, or have suggestions as to other Soil Based Organism Products they have had a good experience with? Guest guest
A There wasn't much more information on these products. > I wondered if anyone knows of another brand that may have a better >price. Thanks, Shayla ~~~~~~ I'd like to hear more too, about what brands people like and personal experiences. Several people I know have had severe " herx " or detox reactions on SBO's. Sounds like you're right on track, Shayla. ~^^V^^~
Guest guest
Wow, was it last November that we had the SBO discussion on this list and the Oxylist? Yeah, it must have been. Amazing. Anyway, after or because of that discussion I somehow ran across an SBO product called Flora Source. I bought it because it was cheap and had good ingredients. Cheap because for $29.95 you get a whole bottle of powder. I may not take the full dose every time, but I've bought only two bottles of the stuff since last November, and for awhile I was taking it every day, so it seems like a better deal to me than 90 capsules worth. Here are the ingredients: bifidum, acidophilus, plantarum, rhamnosus, infantis, breve, bulgaricus, longum, thermophilus, salivarius, sporogenes, subtilis, laterosporus. I buy it at this web site: http://members.tripod.com/~santee/FLORA-SOURCE-2.htm The guy who runs the site is pretty unique. He doesn't take credit cards, so when you order from him he just ships you the stuff with a bill and trusts that you'll pay it. I asked him about this unusual buying process, and he said that it would be more expensive for him to pay the credit card fees and deal with their hassles than it is to lose money to the occasional unscrupulous buyer. The one downside to this report is that I have no idea whether this stuff actually does anything. I have never noticed any health benefit or detriment to taking it, and so I am taking it on faith. SBO's I am taking Active Life's SBO's and a bottle of 90 caps costs $29. I wondered if anyone knows of another brand that may have a better price. Also, does anyone one have any personal experiences with SBO's?
Guest guest
HI, Having recently joined this very informative list, would someone please tell what SBO stands for? What does SBO do for one? Thanks, Lash

Thanks, Lash >> Hi all, I used Primal Defense for the 90 day protocol. I immediately had good results. You start out with 1 or so and work up to 12 daily. This is so all toxins aren't dumped so quickly one becomes *ill*. I did have the achey tired feeling a couple of days but quickly rebounded. Soil Based Organisms 1 helps bowel function 2 are aggressive against yeast and fungus 3 detoxifies I had a pain around my liver/gallbadder area. It immediately went away after I started these. I spoke with another person that had the same experience. Primal Defense comes @ 150 for around 30 plus shipping. Mizner @ 870-368-4268 She sends a nice sheet that explains many things about this product - ask to make sure she will include in shipping. Guest guest
, I get mine at the health food store & this band is widely available. Each capsule contains: bifidum, acidophilus, plantarum, rhamnosus, infantis, breve, bulgaricus, longum, thermophilus, salivarius, sporogenes, subtilis, laterosporus. plantarum, rhamnosus, casei -- 672 million each, and acidophilus, longum, bifidus & breve -- 336 million each, for a total 3.36 billion organisms per capsule. It also contains FOS which is natural carbohydrates to enhance the breeding of the bacteria for better implantation. A 200 capsule bottle retails for $21.30! The brand is Jarro-Dophilus & it is non-dairy. Thats 42 grams of powder, or 1-1/2 oz.. Your Flora source also has infantis, bulgaricus, thermophilus, salivarius, sporogenes, subtilis, laterosporus, all very good, especially the subtilus which supposedly cleans out the old junk from the colon. And, I am a believer in the more strains the better. Still, I find Jarro-Dophilus to be sufficient for an SBO (Soil Based Organsim) Soil bacteria are also known as lactobacillus not because they have anything to do with milk, but becase they produce lactic acid wastes which help our colon maintain the proper Ph. Since the small intestine is supposed to be more alkaline than the colon, it's primary bacteria acidophilus & bulgaricus are less acid than plantarum & bifidum which maintain the more acid environment of the colon. While all SBO's compete with bacteria like salmonella, shigella & e. coli, the platarum directly consumes them as food, and is a major preventive for those bacteria to cause serious infection. We don't need to overcook our meats, just take in our SBO's. So, it isn't important if you notice anything taking them. If you don't notice anything they are doing their job. BUT, taken in large doses they will alleviate symptoms of herpes simplex & constipation, to name two. I take a lot of codeine for chronic pain, and I couldn't live without SBO's to keep me regular anyway. A maintenance dose, IMO, is 1-2 caps twice a day. At onset of symptoms of intestinal disturbance, go to 3-5 caps 3-4 times a day, depending on severity of condition. jim > Flora Source. I bought it because it was cheap and had > good ingredients. They prevent colds, herpes outbreaks (which is a colon infection), ance (which is a toxic colon & constipation), and prevent or cure either constipation or diarrhea. Probably other stuff too. SBO's are a primary survival tool, IMO. jim -- jim@... http://www.entrance.to/madscience http://www.entrance.to/poetry The biggest difference between genius & stupidity is that genius has its limits. -- anony amicus certus in re incerta
