Guest guest
Quick question, I think I already know the answer to. However, I need to ask it. I am applying for a new job. Of course, on the application, I had to put down the name and number of my current boss under the reference column. My question is this, do I call her and let her know I am applying for another job, and she may receive a call asking for a reference? Guest guest
I would recommend that you do. Employers can get testy when they are caught off guard that an employee may be leaving them. Some can become annoyed enough to lay you off, especially if you might be privy to confidential information. Best to let them know your plans and your reasons. Hey, maybe they might offer you a different job, or more money if they want to keep you. Might be a better job and one that you like.
