Guest guest
Thank you , I do think I am going to enjoy this site. As far as food allergies, she cannot have shell fish, and never ate whole wheat products or fish, with the exception of tuna (I do remember her eating that and I still feed her that). I do turn her meals into a liquid form so she can drink them. She has never complained about any fruit or vegetable that I know of, so I would say she likes them all. Digestibility is important as she is not that regular, this is a new problem. If you would let me know how to make sunflower milk, and give me some recipes I would really appreciate it. She does have a sweet tooth,so chocolate sunflower milk is right up her ally. But I do have to watch her sugar, which is controlled by her diet (she was never on insulin) . Course her losing 30 pounds probably helped more than anything else. Thank you for responding, Rita Re: Ensure Plus Hello, Rita-welcome! I have a lot of food allergies, and make my own protein drink that is delicious and WAY better for me than ensure (which is loaded with not so good stuff) Does your mom have any food sensitivities or things she needs to avoid? Any particular fruits and/or veggies she favors over others? Let me know this, and I will give you some ideas. Sunflower seed milk and pumpkin/squash based recipes are chock full of nutrition that is very easily digested by most. (and tastes yummy too) I am sipping on a chocolate sunflower seed milk right now...>> > I was at a vita-mix show and Lea Ann thought this group may be able to help me come up with some recipes that are equivalent to Ensure Plus, which is what my Moms Dr. suggested. She needs to put on some weight and can't eat solid foods. Any help would be appreciated.> > Rita>
