I committed myself to this once a week idea last night actually. I

figured I'd weigh myself every Friday, which is bound to be a decent

number after all the hard work I'd put in over the week. So I was

allowed on it this morning, we'll see how I do tomorrow.

I was extactic this morning for a different reason though-I took my

measurments. I cannot believe how drastically they've changed since

I started this program. I was in shock, I kept remeasuring thinking

I screwed up, and no, it was right! I'm still on cloud nine. In the

last week alone, I've lost an inch around my navel and close to an

inch around my waist. Is this physically possible? My weight

dropped a little this week, but nothing this dramtatic.

Whoohooo!

> - okay, maybe I'm odd woman out, but here's what I do... I

weigh myself once a week, on the morning of free day. I find that I

am more motivated to eat totally clean throughout the week if I look

forward to that once a week 'test " of my progress. If I got on the

scale every morning, I think I would be more tempted to cheat if the

number was down for that day. Just me - I'm weird that way.

Good for you ! Yes, yes, yes it is physically possible to lose an inch

around your navel and on your waist - you've done it! The measurements are so

much more a productive motivator than the scale! I truly hope the once a week

aproach works for you.

Whoooooooooohooooooooooooooooooooooo is right. That is awesome. I

need to remeasure to. I feel lighter though the scale is only showing

6 pounds. Slow and steady wins the race. My next May 1st I plan on

having a killer bod.

Yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Thanks Park! I'm still amazed. I wish I had found this program

earlier, I'd have been at my goal weight ages ago.

Even 6 pounds is no small feat . I like to compare the amount

I've lost to bags of sugar. At first it was just small bags, and

even those are pretty heavy. I lift them when I'm in the supermarket

just to keep the amount I've lost in perspective. haha 6 pounds feels

like allot! And I bet that 6 pounds translates to a big drop in your

measurements. How much are you trying to lose?

Ooohhh! I like to think of my fat loss in terms of sticks of butter. Let's see

73 lbs=292 sticks of butter! I like to imagine them plastered all over my body.

Sugar bags are good ones too! Checkout this guy's website. He has an

interesting way to measure his fat loss too...

at this point I would like to lose 25 pounds in total. I am

5 10 and large boned. Killer shoulders grrrrrrrrrrrrr I was 190 and

would like to get to 165. At 174 I will be in the top end of my BMI

score. My first goal is 179. Just so I can kiss the 180s away. I am

now 184 so hopefully in the next 4 to 5 weeks that will happen. I

do feel great about the exercise. I can tell I am getting toned. It

does feel nice. Since my thyroid surgery I gained weight. I am

usually between 178 to 182 so I am almost there.

Thanks for the kind words.

Good luck to you to

WE can do this right????????????????????????????--

You sound allot like me! I'm 5'8 " and I'd be happy if I could loose

25 more pounds. I started out at over 200, I'm at 170 right now. I

can't wait until the scale says 169-each 10 pounds is such a

milestone.

And of course we can do it! I have no doubt now, I'm so freaking

motivated I make myself sick some days. :)

It's taken me a long time to lose the weight I've lost so far. I

started in December, so over 8 months. I wasn't following any kind

of plan though, just following my instincts as far as exersize and

eating went. It worked for me for awhile, but I needed something a

little more, which is why I started BFL.

The weekends are the toughest for me too. My friends and I have

always centered everything we do around food and alcohol, it's quite

difficult. I did get away with just one beer this weekend though,

and didn't eat all of my horrid pub food, so I didn't feel like a

complete turd this morning.

you did great. I know what you mean. When I was at University

food and alcohol was a huge part of our life. 8 months is not all

that long to lose weight Slow and sure wins the race. I want to be in

shape by May 1st, which is 8 months. I checked the scale today and I

am down 7 pounds. I want to lose another 18. Once I am there. I will

re-evaluate my goals. 4 more pounds and I am out of the 180's. I am

sure hoping I am there by October 18th as I have a highschool re-

union. That is 1 pound a week or just a little less. I think that is

a reasonable goal.

take care
