Starting Inspra (combining with Amiloride?)

If I take 12.5 mg. of Inspra at night, can I take 5 mg. of Midamor

(amiloride) in the morning?

Last time I tried Inspra I could not tolerate the side effects, but

now my blood pressure has gone up to 150/100 after discontinuing

Norvasc 5 mg.

Sure you can-you can do what ever you wnat---but again discuss with your Dr. I dont and cant know all the details of everyinging else you are taking, other problems you are having etc. etc.

Great question. The first time I tried Inspra, I was on 20MG

ameloride, and the interaction was toxic. K shot up a full point

after one dose. The mfg literature warns about potassium buildup, but

also just says " don't mix them " for a variety of unstated reasons.

Now I am facing the same possibility again, with spiro OR eplerenone.

Inspra is so new not many combination tests have entered many

clinician's experience, it seems, but maybe Dr Grim has a suggestion

about where to access clinicians with more experience.
