Guest guest
It's nice that people are willing to share. There's really no need to spend a lot of money for a SCOBY; as I've mentioned, I grew my own from scratch (I thought that would be the coolest way) and for those who are unwilling to wait, buying it for shipping-related costs is the next best thing. I personally don't want to be bothered with mailing them but I give them away to people here who want them. (OT) FYI - Original Kombucha Group Since several people seem interested in Kombucha Tea, I recommend the following group. Their files and links are very informative, and many members are willing to share a SCOBY and starter tea for reimbursement of postage only. kombucha tea/?yguid=79675222 If you decide to join this group, educate yourself by reading whatever looks interesting, but don't feel intimidated by it. You can make brewing as simple and easy or as complicated as you wish. I brew in gallon pickle jars covered with a paper towel and rubber band, and I store in Mason canning jars. Then I just sit back and enjoy - nearly as good as a green smoothie!
