Guest guest
Hello. My name is Sherrie. I have a consultation this coming Tuesday with the surgeon who will be performing my operation. I have so many questions for her. It has taken quite some time for my diagnosis. I have been taking meds for hypertension and edema for several years but in the past 6 months, other symtoms developed. These symptoms include hypokalemia, fatigue, abdomenal distention and numbness in my hands. Fortunately, about the same time as the development of these additional symptoms, I also moved from a small town to Portland, OR (USA). My new physician ordered blood tests and when the results warranted, she sent me for an ultrasound and then a CT/scan to confirm and locate the tumor. My questions, for those of you who have had the surgery or have primary hyperaldosteronism, are these - Did you experience the symptoms mentioned above? other symptoms? Did you experience relief of some or all of these symptoms following surgery? How long was your hospital stay? I've had three children by C-section. Should I expect similar recovery in terms of pain management and length of time to recover? Any information you could provide would be appreciated. Thank you.
