Guest guest
Have you gotten any side effects from Inspra including these ones that I got? My side effects from Inspra (eplerenone) at 25 mg: 1. strong metallic taste 2. very thirsty 3. bad headache 4. feeling very dried out 5. increased urination 6. feeling fatigued 7. feeling nervous The worst side effect for me is this bad headache because I already have fibromyalgia as well. I would be curious also to know if you have any sexual side effects? 1. difficulty getting an erection 2. less desire for sex 3. more difficulty in ejaculation Please reply. Guest guest
Airliner: Looking over your list below, I can say I've experienced none of them. In fact, #5 is just the opposite. Couple of times a night is now once-and it seems more due to habit. I really, really am happy with Inspra. None of the side effects of Spirolactone, with the bp control. Just what the darn things were designed to do. As far as the sex problems, you're talking to a guy that just spent a year on Lupron for prostate cancer. It is a chemical castrator-it really is. At 63, after 35 years of high blood pressure, and after that, I don't think my sex life will be great again. Lupron is the shits! I am still mad at the doctor for putting me on it, and for keeping me on it for so long. I learned something from it. Don't take a drug that you hate. Life is to short to waste being miserable extending it. Guest guest
I have had the thirst, dry out feeling, and increased urination, but none of the others. My endocrinologist said that this is to be expected since Inspra is a type of diuretic. He said it will eventually even out in the body and you will have less of these happen. I've not noticed any change in sexual function from it. Jim > > Just an update on the replacement of spirolactone with > Inspra. > > I am very pleased with it.
