Guest guest
Hi Donna, Relief is in sight, I promise. Just take deep breaths and you will get through it all. I have the 7 day solution and have done the toning segment once. It wasn't all that hard. I really like the cardio in this one, it is so fun. By the time you get to the last section with , you are really picking it up, at least I am. I love using this cardio as an add on to other workouts. Have a great weekend and try to take a little time out for yourself.
Guest guest
Hi, I'm sorry I've been MIA - this has been yet another absolutely crazy week at work - I swear, someone keeps upping the speed on this hamster wheel that I'm on!! Anyway, Wednesday's workout was Charlene Prickett's Tie One On - this is a great low impact floor cardio routine. It is long, the cardio portion is about 50 min or so. Like all low impact, the more you put in the more you get out - so you do have to really " work it " to get the most out of it. Still, I enjoy working out w/ Charlene and her crew, it seems like working out with old friends who are just regular, down-to-earth normal people! The choreography is a tad more interesting than in Charlene's other low impact workouts, which is nice, too, and she lets her two background exercisers ( and ) teach for awhile. Thursday was Firm Cardio w/ Heidi Tanner - an oldie but a real goodie. I really upped my weights and I'm sorry today - especially my quads. Hmm..last week my quads were sore fromdoing the FIRM, too. They are rarely sore from doing other weight workouts. I think I'm actually ready to purchase 20 lb dumbells. I'm sure my increase in strength is from carrying my daughter around. I'm a fairly impatient person and even though she can walk, I do end up carrying her quite a bit just b/c she is soooo slow -- and likes to dawdle, as I guess most toddlers do... Today was supposed to be cardio and Pilates - but i fizzled after the cardio b/c I really needed to send some e-mails for work, etc. this morning. So, I just did the cardio and will save the Pilates for tomorrow and add some yoga on to it. the cardio workout I did this morning was the 7-Day Solution cardio segment from Dozois/Tracey York's 7-Day Solution video. This video has 30 min of cardio and 30 min of strength training. I wish it would come out on DVD! The cardio is a good mix of low and high impact, nothing too fancy or hard to follow, but you do get a good workout in 30 min especially if you push yourself - which always seems to be the case for floor cardio for me. Tracey and team teach, each teaching two segments - Tracey does the warm-up first cardio, second cardio, Tracey third, fourth and the stretch. There is no taking it from the top, so if you don't like something, after awhile, you'll never have to see it again! I haven't done the strength portion of this workout in a long tme, but as I recall it was just a straightforward session. My food this week has actually been pretty good - in spite of stress and late nights I handled snacking pretty well. I still am eating at night - but I have been successful at limiting myself to one item - I went out and bought some low cal popsicles and I will be using those in the future - they take a long time to eat - so that is good. Nutritionally, i haven't been doing great b/c I've been eating on the run quite a bit - so I know there is room for improvement there, but I am happy that I got some of the stress snacking under control. Anyway, I really do hope tha tlife settles down soon. Just as I was seeing a light at the end of the tunnel I got a big project dumped on me yesterday and it entails working w/ someone who, although is very nice, is very difficult to work with. *SIGH* take care!!!
