Guest guest
, What is the child's developmental age? It sounds like he might be in the middle of the 2 yr old tantrum phase. I would ignore as much as possible, praise constantly and avoid all power struggles. A Child fills a place in your heart you never knew was empty! Guest guest
Nic went though this....just keep ignoring. Our Dr said he will not bang his head (intentionally) any harder than he can stand. Nic has a terrible temper! Don't let him get the upper hand or he'll walk all over you. 80) Once the head banging didn't work he tried hitting himself and intentionally wetting his pants, to throwing things etc. He's come a loooooong way from those days but when he gets really mad he still tries to do something drastic to gain attention. Guest guest
hmmmm let's see, he was pretty young when he started head banging, I'm gonna say 2/3 years old. He's 9, almost 10 now. Now when he gets REALLY mad, he'll throw something or just yell really loud, then he cries for a few seconds. Then he'll say " Nic, not nice! " LOl so he knows he's doing wrong.
