Lea Ann, thank you for your time here, and your response. I know how to set up folders and rules, and do appreciate the information. I still choose, however, to get the digest format - which makes scrolling through lines and lines and lines of unsnipped extraneous add-ons a pain.I do see the disadvantage of overly trimming posts. On the other hand, I just cannot see the point of including repeated lines and lines and lines of previous posts. There is a nifty site that explains how to trim posts, and many have incorporated it http://www.marthas-web.com/trimming-posts.htm I do like the camaraderie of the group! That is NOT the point that I am trying to communicate. The members here are chock-full of information, and not just about the VM. Just today I used my 5200 to "rice" some cauliflower to add to a spaghetti sauce (many thanks to whoever posted how to successfully do that!). That said, I'm sure that I (and others) have probably missed some really good information or tips due to the fact that the subject line remained one thing, and the body of the message was about something entirely different - - and not having the luxury of reading every message.Namaste,em / TN((should I keep the suit on??))>> I hear ya em - it can get frustrating.> > I do encourage people to change the subject lines as the topics evolve, but we don't have a lot of rules here for list members to follow, so I hope that you have an email program where you can quickly delete messages as soon as you see that they are just friendly banter and a way to save those that have content you like. > > I have tried to trim my posts lately(for the benefit of those on digest) and would encourage others to do so, but I also don't like overly trimmed posts because I like to see how the thread evolved. I want enough of the previous posts in there to understand what and how the discussion progressed. This is easy when you are on "individual mail" but nearly impossible on daily digest.> > Did you see my note earlier about setting up folders and mail rules in your email program? That would be an elegant way to make the switch to individual email - following threads (and batch deleting) is so much easier when on individual mail.> > What email program are you using? I could help you set up the folders/rules if you needed help…> > Blessings,> Lea Ann Savage> Satellite Beach, FL> (321) 773-7088 (home)> (321-961-9219 (cell)> www.VitamixLady.com> www..com> <:)))><
