Guest guest
Hi, I felt pretty okay this afternoon, I'm still pretty darn tired though. I decied to try one of my Ramping workouts that Kathy sent me (thanks!) I did Cardio Express b/c I read on VF that this one is the most intense. well, honestly, it wasn't very intense, but it was fun and different and perfect for my energy level today. for these workouts gin uses the " ramp' which is an inclined stepping board - (Kathy - did you have trouble w/ your board sliding across the floor?) True to Gin, she does very basic choreographed combos using the incline board. there is a large class of background exercisers and Gin cues well, although some of her goofy personality is missing - I guess what can you expect from goodtimes - they even had to edit the personality out of Gin. But this is a nice workout for a lower energy day or as an add on to another workout. the cardio portion ran about 30 min. i'd rank its intensity level around an indoor walking workout. Then, since Bellydancing is in the air here I decided to try a library borrow - Bellydance fitness for Beginners Arms & Abs (I also borrowed Hips & thighs and will try that one out this week as well). this one features Veena and Neena, the infamous bellydance twins! It was a fun workout to try - they start with some standing arm isolation moves that I gather are based in bellydance. then they move on to standing ab and waist work - also bellydancing inspired w/ lots of undulating moves, etc. And, finally, on to the floor for the toughest work (IMHO) some of which is traditional - like curls with different arm variations to give it a bellydance flavor. Also, a reverse plank type position which you hold and some lying side oblique work. After i did this tape I felt pretty worked out, but in a good, stretched and relaxed way. right now i'm viewing Bellydance Basic Dance with veena and Neena. I've had this one awhile (trade), but haven't tried it. It looks pretty good. I may give it a go tomorrow since tomorrow is supposed to be my active rest day and w/ my ear infection I find anything lying on the floor (like Pilates or some yoga poses) to be uncomfortable, inversion moves are also uncomfortable to my ear, so my yoga is somewhat limited. *SIGH* I must be relly " off' w/ my ear infection though, b/c i was brave enough to do the bellydance arms & abs workout w/ DH in the house...normally, this is one I'd save for when I have the house to myself. LOL! Anyway, hope everyone has a good day! Take care, Donna ____________________________________________________ Sports Rekindle the Rivalries. Guest guest
Donna! I never had problems with the ramp - but I always used it on a carpeted surface. I liked cardio express but I think super sculpt is more intense on the legs. I always used weighted gloves with the workouts to intensify the work. Sorry about your ear!
