Guest guest
I've been looking at yoga blocks - I want to send some to my dad because I think he might need some help in some of the poses, but was wondering what everyone's favorite type of block is. I've seen the foam blocks and they appear to be cheapest, but I was wondering if there is an advantage (other than looks) to the wood blocks. I saw some bamboo ones that looked nice and of course they are ecofriendly. But I wonder which people like best. So I thought I'd ask. Any suggestions? My father enjoys meditation so I thought he might enjoy yoga too. Actually I know he will, but he has yet to try it. He'll be 52 in a few months and is more used to gym type exercise than yoga (he has to exercise everyday for his blood pressure and cholesterol), so he needs props as well as dvds. I tend to get away with using books and belts instead of yoga blocks and yoga straps but my father isn't like me lol. He's very young at heart and loves to try new things as long as he has the right equipment If anyone has suggestions for a great complete beginner book or very well explained dvd that would be great too. Thanks
Guest guest
, Cork yoga blocks are supposed to be really good! You can get them from www.huggermugger.com. They also have an excellent selection of straps and other yoga stuff.
