what is early-intervention

My baby daughter is five months old and has DS plus she was a preemie.

We live in Lafayette La and was told about an early intervention

program which would help her to learn to roll over, sit up and walk

among other things. Her doctor has told us that this program will

contact us but we still have not heard from them. I am not sure how

old my daughter has to be before they contact us. The hospital she was

born at told us that this program would contact us within a few days

but her doctor said it could take a few weeks; now it has been months

and I do not know where to turn. Please help me on this.
