Guest guest
Oh, Thank you so much, Heidi, for your response! Well, if essential oils are used for therapeutic reasons in soaps and toiletries, and I guess, even aromatic room sprays, when would one use fragrance oils (since they're synthetic), and in what? I feel silly because for the longest I had been confused about this weighing thing. Couldn't figure out if recipes asking for say, ounces, meant in a cup or, on the scale. From what I can gather from the Candadian weight discussion, (I'm in the U.S.) one should always way. Now does this mean I just pour some oil (for instance) in a cup and then set it on the scale (regardless of the measurement on the cup)? I finally found a nice little inexpensive scale (from amazon.com) and found that it's measurements are in kg and pounds! Then got a hold of some recipes and they all called for grams! I couldn't make the translation into kg to match my scale! (Math has never been my strong suit and those 00.43 or 0.30 or 00.0475890837 results I get mean nothing to me. :-) I'm really new to all this and have been lurking a long time trying to get up the nerve to try stuff. I've been buying EOs and oils, etc., but I have that don't-wanna-make-a-mistake disease. :-) My face creams have not come out like I wanted (I've been going for the whipped cream-like effect, instead, have gotten the kind of grease-like result). Creamy, creamy, creamy. Finally, I've come across some products called CO2 extracts. What's the skinny on them? I ordered one just to see and I got a little bitty itsy-bitsy bottle--I couldn't believe it! It wasn't inexpensive to me! Yikes! Any ideas--Hay-ulp! - Be Love, Berijoy http://www.egyirba.com - " We can test until we're blue in the face...
