Guest guest
O.k., I just did my Firm Super Cardio Sculpt, and it seemed easy. My Crossbar arrived (it's the cheaper version of a bowflex). I used a bowflex years ago, and loved it. I was thinking about buying the Bowflex video workouts to do in conjunction with my Crossbar. They are set up the same with both high and low pulley's. So, I thought this would be a great way really delve into my strength training. I just love having videos help me out. Has anyone heard any reviews or tried the Bowflex videos? Videofitness.com doesn't have any reviews, and I am little reluctant to spent the $39.90 without hearing some positive feedback. By the way, it took me over 4 hours to put that sucker together. That was a workout in itself. Martha -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. Guest guest
Martha, Which crossbar do you have? I purchased the Crossbow Platinum (about 6 months after I purchased it they changed their name to crossbar) about two years ago..it is the one with the electronic resistance and rep/set counter computer..I Love it..it took me two days to put together by myself.. Good luck with it..I finally cleaned out my gym so I could get to mine last week..LOL. I am back to working out on it and I must have over done it at the squat station yesterday.. Click- catwmn@... Guest guest
, It sounds as if we have the same one. Mine is the Platinum Crossbar and it has the digital resistance. All I have to do is push a button to change everything. Have you been using yours since your purchased it? I want to be as efficient about my workout as possible. I don't like moving pulleys and benches around too much. So, I put together a spreadsheet based on the bench position, body part worked and lower or upper pulley. I can then sort it to make sure that I can go through my workout for the day by changing the machine as little as possible. But, since I love my videos... I was considering buying the Bowflex workout videos. They really are the same machines... low pulleys and high pulleys. , That's a really good idea. I'll start scouring ebay. I'm hoping to become a fitness geek I really used to be one. Actually, thinking back... I most likely overdid it. Back in my early 20s I spent about 3-4 hours at the gym every day. I'm about 2 months into jumping back into the game. Your and everyone else's posts have really motivated me to get up off my butt. I travel a lot. So, videos make perfect sense for me. Plus, I am not that coordinated. Videos are a perfect way for me to relearn all the stuff that I used to know without embarrassing myself at a club! Martha -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Guest guest
Martha, I have not used it as much as I would have liked to since I purchased it but since school will be starting up again within a few weeks I am hoping to jump back in..(Would you consider sharing your spreadsheet with me?? I have not even thought about the time wasted by moving everything around after each exercise...) The video that came with the Crossbar is very poor quality..so maybe I will get a bowflex one as well..Thanks for the ideas!! PS. I have had problems getting the laying down on the stomach leg curl thing to work...the leg part seems to be too long for me to complete a rep and it slips off the back of my foot...have you had this issue too??
