Hi everyone,

This morning I done Imax 3 premix 1-5 but I added on interval 10 and actually made it through it! Of course I couldn't get through 1,2,4 OR 5 but did manage to get through 3. After that, I done Leaner Legs abs and stretch. I am so amazed how I get a much better burn from Cathe's other ab workouts, but can't get much from her Core Max workout. I burned 310 calories. I believe it's going to take a good long while before I will be able to make it through even half of the 10 intervals. I tried and that's all I can do. As I was doing the blasts I was really pushing myself to the point of no air and my mind was saying "lets not pass out here" LOL I wanted to make it through so bad, but I just couldn't do it. I am thinking of working on a couple intervals at a time through out the week and then trying like 5 of them on Friday. I think I have to do this workout consistently or I won't ever be able to do it. Heck I haven't even been able to complete Imax 2. I still can't get through 5 and 9 of that workout.

I hope you all have a nice weekend. It's flaming hot here (90's) and the humidity is outrageous.

It would've been hadn't I upped my weight and some exercises I didn't go heavy enough, but next time I will know more of what weight to use. I just think it's a nice change from doing Cathe all the time, which is what I primarily do. I really like Jari Love too, she is awesome!!

Oh no! Just what I need - more workout enablement! I am going to Ross today at lunchtime and I hear they are selling it cheap there. It's so good and bad that it's so close to where I work - just a 3 minute drive.

[firmies4life] Friday workout

Hi,

This morning I tried my new workout RIPPED with Jari Love. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised how much I like this workout. There were just two parts I didn't like. One was the warm up.. she does the warm up using a bar bell which Cathe does in her workout Power Hour. This workout is similar to PH in the way of the reps, but I'd say PH is just a little bit harder. The other thing I didn't care for was the inner and outer thigh work on the floor. I put 3lb ankle weights on and still just got a small burn. She doesn't do them long enough to get anything out of the exercise. I love Jari, she is my kind of instructor.

Being the first time doing this workout I wasn't sure on my poundage so some of it I went too light on and some of it was too heavy... such as the pullovers. She does the chest which I used a 25lb bar bell (could've went to 30lbs) then she does pullovers and I used 1 20lb dumbbell and did I ever fry lol I was feeling it really bad in my triceps then she does triceps lol I used a 20lb bar bell for those and I could've went heavier because it seems like she doesn't go as long on those.

Oh and I guess there is one more thing I didn't like about this workout and that;'s the abs section. I didn't get much out of it either.

Overall, this workout is a definite keeper in my collection. I love the rep speeds she uses and I like most all the exercises and above all, I love really like her as a instructor.

thanks for the low-down michelle. i still might get this one but only on a good deal. i like power hour and its just hard enough for me except for the legs which kill me everytime so i was hoping to go for more challenging than that. but i am glad you liked it. from some other reviews around the net i though maybe it would be to easy for you. kassia
