Guest guest
I finally (after how many years) posted some photos of in Kerrigan family album, if you are interested. Also, had a big milestone this weekend..... she went to a birthday party sleepover, alone! The mom is really great, used to be a teacher, and has 5 kids of her own, so things don't fluster her much, and she was fine having there without mom. We got there, and I showed where I put her sleeping bag and pillow, and she ran off to play with the kids. I was chatting with the other moms a bit, and when she came downstairs, she seemed surprised to see me, but said goodbye and went outside with the kids. So, I told the mom to call me if ANYTHING came up, and I left. Apparently from the report I got the next morning, ate her pizza and salad, played some more, watched part of Nanny McPhee, and at 8:30, got up from the movie, told the mom she was going to bed, unrolled her sleeping bag, got on her PJs and went to sleep..... the perfect sleepever guest, LOL. The other girls came to bed about an hour later, but she didn't wake up. The only " incident " was that when lost at Hot Potato during the party games, she got sad and didn't want to play any more games. However, the mom convinced her to play whatever they were doing next, and didn't win that either, but didn't fall apart..... I'm sure they were all holding their breaths! Hopefully it gets around that is a lovely sleepover party guest..... we all know that the " not so wonderful, don't ever sleep, keep everyone else awake " kids names get passed around, LOL. She was very tired the entire day, but it was so worth it! She is turning into quite the party girl these days.... she was invited to her good friend's swimming birthday party next weekend (too bad she doesn't swim :-), and was invited to sleep over after. This little girl also has DS, and they are very close. So, it seems like at this moment in time, everything is working just as we might have hoped for her......... one weekend party with her typical school friends (who are nice, but not super close) and one weekend party with (who lives 25 minutes away, but they are best buds and really click).... only 8 more school days left and we are soooooooo ready for summer to begin. Well, guess I should get to bed....... I have to get up early to run to Walmart and get some elastic to finish 's dog costume for the 5th grade play..... did you know that and had a dog? I didn't. Oh, and the dog sings a solo and dances, and has lines and everything? Dress rehearsal tomorrow, and I'm still making the costume....... when will I learn not to wait til the last minute! , mom to (10), (8 DS), and Sammy (6)
