Guest guest
I have a string one too. I found my first one at a yard sale, looked brand new, but was in the free box. They said it didn't work. They couldn't figure out that you had to rewind the string. Ha ha what a find. k -- Re: Do I wash my pre-washed greens? - was - What is on your regular Costco list? My salad spinner is pull type like this one... http://www.amazon.com/MIU-Plastic-String-Salad-Spinner/dp/B000VWF3E0 When I picked it up I wondered if it would be an unused gadget, but I use it all the time and love it. Once I get my lettuce spun and put into the serving bowl I use the net bowl to toss peels, insides ...things I'm trimming, then I'm not digging things out of the sink or cleaning the counter. I picked it up at a Ross store for under 10 bucks... they sometimes have the coolest gadgets for great prices.

Guest guest
Well actually that is what he did to repair it I think, now that I think of it. He is pretty handy. To the point of annoying. I have long said, I am not allowed to throw away any appliance until he has repaired it at least 3 times and finally pronounced it dead. Then usually it goes to his workshop to be stripped of " useable " parts! No more cramping hands or need to finish drying with a towel. This is my third type of salad spinner and it is the only kind I will ever have.
