Well things have gone from having a great experience with the IEP

last week to having my MIL just diagnosed with N stage lung cancer

that has already metastized to the bone marrow and possibly the

liver according to my SIL.... She said that Momma has maybe 6 months

before this all takes her from us

She is down from Colorado at my MIL's hospital in SC making

arrangements for my MIL to be moved to Hospise care in Colorado...

We asked what we could do to help her and she told us that she

needed help getting momma's trailer cleaned up and ready to be

closed up and such... well I have paid time and already called and

made arrangements with my boss... but my hubby's first day back from

being out almost 2 weeks with tendonitis in the shoulder and a nasty

stomach bug is tonight and he can not get any time until next

weekend... When I called my SIL tonight and told her that I was

catching a ride with my hubby's uncle and would be there this

weekend and that Webb would follow in the next few days with the

kids... she got upset.... Basically she doesn't want me down

there..... I said Joan, you told me that you needed help cleaning

and such (not my hubby's strong suit) ... she said it was a card

she played to try and get her brother down there.... he just doesn't

have the paid time... if he did, he would already be there.....

basically he planned to get there by using the days off from 2 weeks

back to back to cover the travel time...

My husband and I are a team.... we cover each other when the other

can't do something.... I have been married to him for over 20 years

but right now his sister just made me feel like I wasn't part of the

family....Now my husband is made at his sister and feels I have been

insulted... I am pissed that I made all these arrangements for

nothing... I want to do what we can to help this very difficult

situation and basically was told no thanks...

I just don't understand family sometimes....
