Guest guest
Oh I'm so sorry to hear this! Did you try bleach? To match the bottom, perhaps you need to make a BEET curried apple soup recipe LOL ;-) Blessings,Lea Ann SavageSatellite Beach, FL(321) 773-7088 (home)(321-961-9219 (cell)))><'>www.VitamixLady.comwww..com<))>< On Mar 14, 2011, at 4:08 PM, Cat Lady wrote: My curried sweet potato apple soup recipe called for tumeric and now I have a stained yellow vitamix container.lol I did scrub it with baking powder to no avail, oh well. Guest guest
Maybe wiping it with vegetable oil would help? Guest guest
I would be inclined to put some soda water and baking soda in it, bubble off the stain. I have been known to use denture cleaner tablets to clean some kitchen appliances, but I don't know if it would cloud the clear container. Worked a charm in my stainless, but I haven't tried it in the clear. From: <kareningotham@...>Subject: Re: Stained container , undisclosed-recipients@...Date: Monday, March 14, 2011, 5:39 PM Maybe wiping it with vegetable oil would help? Guest guest
I'd go for the OxiClean--I've had that bleach out some pretty tough stains. Guest guest
What about either a paste of baking SODA and lemon juice or white vinegar? I would put some vinegar in the base with some water and dish soap and have it go on high a bit to see if anything happens. > > My curried sweet potato apple soup recipe called for tumeric and now I have > a stained yellow vitamix container.lol I did scrub it with baking powder to > no avail, oh well. Guest guest
Might that not be kind of abrasive? Oxy Clean and or Majik Eraser, will keep this. -- Re: Stained container Here are some discussions on this issue: http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/666573 http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/352661 Bleach or hydrogen peroxide seem to help. > ------------------------------------
