Guest guest
Do you buy an organic tumeric or just a regular one from the supermarket? Dr Usman recommended I put tumeric in the bath for Luke - she did suggest I put it in a bag, but I am not sure how that will work???? Guest guest
Hi Nicola, We get organic tumeric (just the regular cardboard spice box refills) from Waitrose and our health food shop. Gosh it would be yellow in the bath. I have to give our mouths a rub after eating it - it colours the skin otherwise. ButI love it - and it really doesn't have much taste and I think it is doing something good for us all. Sandyxx

Guest guest
Makes perfect sense to me. Turmeric has been used as an anti-inflammatory for centuries. Luckily, no longer has fevers due to his tonsil removal, but if that had not worked, we were going to put him on an anti-inflammatory diet. A lot of people with Rheumatoid Arthritis find much relief in these diets.
Guest guest
Wow, thank you for the info. I've never considered this herb before. I'll try it as after 8 years of , I know my daughter gets ulser type issues with her stomach before she fevers. I looked up the benefits to this herb that are still being studied and it says it helps with digestion, arthritis, and inflammation. I'm going to pick some up and include it in our diets or suppliment. I'll check with her Dr. 1st. Thanks for the idea! I'm always looking for new methods to aid in her digestion as I think it is linked to her body fighting itself. By the way, she has a severe diaper rash (through the skin to bleeding within hours of onset) & a very bad rash on her cheeks/face when she was about 6 weeks old. I wonder if this could be related to your rashes...??? Our Dr hadn't ever seen anything like it, but it went away in a couple weeks. Your story reminded me of it. Guest guest
Lol, well, after thinking about things, we could add the tumeric or curry spice after we VM it, it's just a spice and probably would work to add outside the Vitamix. Now beets, that's another story, not going to try them unless I have an extra container, roflmbo -- Re: Tumeric now you guys tell me about capsules for tumeric after I bought that "yuk" and tried my utmost to eat it, bahhh!
