Guest guest
, This post made me laugh. I tried to talk my bf into a standing kickboxing bag " for the kids " and he didn't go for it. I have a lot of stuff just not barbells or resistance bands. I keep looking for medicine balls but the store never has them in stock and I haven't really looked for them online (and according to them they only have a 3lb medicine ball and it seems a heavier one would be better). I'm looking for yoga props too, I found them online but I haven't bought them yet, because I can't decide whether it is worth it to buy bricks when I have books I can use lol. And why buy a yoga strap when I have a nice long fat ribbon. I have a stability ball (only used it as a chair). I have a high step which in its previous life was a kitchen stool, I really want to acquire a transfirmer though I have been looking at those steps you can adjust up and down so you can have a multitude of heights instead of just three... I'm also looking for higher weight weights that are small enough for my hands. I want to go for some that are adjustable because I'm tired of buying new ones everytime I need to go up a size. But all that can be shoved in a small place. I can't imagine that you could shove a barbell away so easily... And I was vetoed when I tried to buy a cheap one because my bf said that I needed one that was better. I absolutely love training with weights. Though yesterday I did Body Sculpt and Ab Sculpt and Cardio Shimmy (Bellydance) and Pilates and my bum is sore from something or other. I'd say the hover squats but it could have been the Pilates. I was feeling very active yesterday because my bf went out to the movies (on housecleaning weekend, it was a movie he had to watch, didn't really bother me that much, but it did make me feel like exercising) Normally if I get sore its the tops of the legs but this is my whole bum:) Maybe it was those Shimmys. What a fun move and it looks so much easier than it is. Oh I am transforming my bedroom into a workout area now. Unfortunately I don't have a computer in there right now so the workouts I have on the computer I still have to do downstairs (I transfer them there from dvd so I don't have to deal with the mom oops I broke your very favorite fitness dvd syndrome) But moving my bed into a corner gives me more room than I had in the living room. So I hope it will work out fine. At least I won't be bumping into the couches when I try to do aerobics. And maybe I will find room for some more stuff lol Pink Pussycat wrote: > My living room has morphed into a veritable gym, my > prize piece of equipment is my standing kickboxing > bag. Guest guest
Well your home sounds like it's turning into a gym too! I wouldn't get a medicine ball online because of the s & h charges. I got mine on clearance at a sporting goods store. Do you have any near you? Some outdoor stores carry fitness stuff too. I have only two videos that I know of that specifically use a medicine ball. It's neat to have, especially if you're like Tonya and design your own workouts and work out without a video. I'm just not that disciplined or creative that way.. Thanks so much for all your posts ! It's great having you here!
