Guest guest
Hi, This morning's workout was FIRM, BSS2 - Complete Aerobics & Weight Training (CAWT) with . I love this workout, and forgot how much I enjoyed it. I'm on a FIRM high right now. I wish the stupid BSS4 workouts would start appearing in places like Target and QVC soon. Grr... This time, I do want the new piece of equipment, since I never got the box for the Bss3 workouts, and therefore, haven't done them very often. ANYWAY, the CAWT workout is great, classic FIRM style training. You alternate some short cardio sections with weight training sections. The weight training often incorporates both upper and lower body moves to challenge your entire body. I personally find this to be harder than say, doing a Cathe workout where you work one body part at a time. While it is easier to go heavier if you're just doing one part at a time, I feel more challenged using lighter weights and compound moves. The standard FIRM moves are here, lunges, dips, tall box work, etc. Nothing really unusual, just a well sequenced variety of strength training and cardio circuits. I'd say there are 3 or 4 cardio routines, but your HR will be up there with the weight training since you are often working multiple body parts. does a nice job of cueing and " getting down " with her Fanny Lifter! After CAWT, I did the second workout on my Caribbean Workout Pilates DVD. This one was called " The Importance of Breathing " - and, while breathing cues were stressed, it wasn't overly focused on breathing, so I'm not quite sure where the title came from. This one features a good medly of Pilates moves - some quite challenging including the " jack-knife " (this is one where you lift your legs up over your body - sort of like a " plough " in yoga), rolling like a ball, open leg rocker, etc. Jen Tilley lead the workout while Mc performed the exercises along w/ Jen. BTW, looks fabulous, great muscle definition! I like that after working the abs, Jen also works the back with extensions and the " swan " move. It is definately not the traditional mat work sequence, but just a medly of Pilates moves. All in all, another good one. I plan to do another tomorrow and the final one on Saturday (which is my " active " recovery day!) Hope everyone has a good day!
