Guest guest
I know a lady that is over 90 now and still drives around and swears that if you take a vit c a day you will not get a cold or the flu. You know she is never sick with those ailments! So I try to take vit c every day and as of recent I have been adding one vit c tablet to my smoothies. Is that okay, does it keep its potency or even would it improve it? I cannot tell it is in there. I do believe that the vit c daily helps as I seem to have less colds and when I get one they are less intense, "touch wood". I use to take cold fx when I felt a cold coming on and I do think that helps but it is so expensive so I no longer buy it. Carolyn In a message dated 3/8/2011 12:06:18 P.M. It does burn a bit, but will wipe out most infections. If used in a smoothie, it is quite bitter, so you might want to sweeten up your smoothie a bit more than usual. Feel better! Anyone have any ideas on what to add to a smoothie or other concoction for a sinus infection?I feel one coming on.(Can't search the archives as the yaho groups are blocked at work)ThanksTony
Guest guest
I don't have anything for smoothies, but use colloidal silver (I make my own) as a sinus wash. You could use a neti pot or if you can, do it like I do (stage 3) here: http://www.yoga-age.com/asanas/neti.htmlBecause the colloidal silver is not buffered (never add salt to colloidal silver!) it BURNS LIKE HECK! But because you are essentially applying an antibiotic directly to the source of the infection this method is VERY successful. When I first came down with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (when the Epstein Barr Virus got into my body) it began with the first sinus infection of my life. After that I had them at least twice a year until I discovered this method and I've never had them since. If I get a cold and feel sinus congestion coming on I immediately swallow colloidal silver and blow it out my sinuses (over the utility sink or bath tub) until my sinuses dry up. Guest guest
Forgot about the neti pot. I have one buried under the bathroom sink somewhere. Never thought of using the silver. Good ideas.
