Guest guest
" Tax ID number: This is usually your social security number UNLESS YOU HAVE EMPLOYEES. I don't know if different states (I'm in California) require tax ID #'s for everyone in business but here I use my SS#. " Actually this is not quite true. Even if you don't have employees, your tax id # might not be your SS#. You can apply for and obtain a federal tax ID # without having employees. It is not necessary to have employees, to have a federal tax ID#. You could be incorporated (as I am, and I would personally recommend for those who make personal care items, due to liability issues). By the way, it always makes sense to get liability insurance for your business. Khadiyja Y.
