Squeeze Tubes

Hi,

The problem is not in filling them, it is sealing them.

When you buy them the bottom ends are open so they are easy enough

to fill but a vacuum sealer will not work.

To do this manually you will need a Ventrod Tube Sealer. It works

like this: you place open end beween jaws then pull handle down to

lock and it melts the plastic from both sides. If you look closely at

a regular tube you will also notice that it is not smooth, rather it

is ridged. The jaws also come in different sizes and shapes

depending on how wide the tube is, the depth of the melt you require

to hold together and the shape - flat, half moon/decorative.

Once the timed 2 sided melt takes place, (different tubes require

different timing depending on plastic/density, etc.), it is then

immediatly cold water cooled by the sealer itself while the tube is

still in the jaws. If it is not cooled in this fashion prior to

removing the tube - it will just pull back apart.

The last time I checked you might be able to get a basic used one

for around 2,500 - 3,000 U.S.

Sorry I couldn't have better news for this one - there really is no

substitute for this machine.

Jen
