-- My Vitamix Story from the new Vitamix Gratitude Book

Hey guys,

Below is the story I wrote to Vitamix several months ago, which is one of 50 stories in their Gratitude book that has just published. The story was edited by Vitamix, but the facts are the same as my original story. I haven't got my scanner out yet, so figured I would type the story, leaving out a few sentences just for conciseness....

Vitamix Pays for Itself

"Money is tight in our family. When we decided to purchase a Vitamix, we hesitantly took money out of a savings account to purchase a 5200. Due to increasing family medical bills, it was tempting to return the Vitamix within the 30 day trial period.

We gambled on the possibility that the cost of the Vitamix would pay for itself by increasing our intake of healthy food and decreasing our need for traditional medical care...........In just one year, our family diet has changed from frozen meals and canned goods to green smoothies, sugar free ice cream, preservative free dressings, fresh hummus dips, and much more. During this year my husband has lost 30 pounds and cut his cholesterol medication dose in half. My preschooler went from regular ear infections and asthma flare-ups to having no need for antibiotics or inhalers. My toddler went from having a virus every few weeks to an occasional, mild cold.........Thank you Vitamix for doing what you do well and for being a stepping stone to help people regain and maintain their health!" (This is written with a disclaimer by Vitamix that the company doesn't claim to cure diseases and isn't meant to replace medical care, but reading other testimonials, it sure helps medical outcome in many cases).

I do have to confess that I am writing this while home from church sick this morning.....but I am overdosing on green smoothies and plan to make carrot, apple, celery, lemon juice for lunch in hopes to feel better soon.

Hope this story helps those deciding whether or not its worth the price to consider a Vitamix as a good long term investment in one's health (if it is used regularly).....we keep ours on our counter at all times vs. in a cabinet where the other stored appliances are rarely used...thus, we use it ALL the time (atleast more than we use our microwave or stove).

Have a good day,

Kim
