5th grade Science and SS IEP goals

I was wondering if anyone had successful Science and Social Studies IEP

goals to be used in the general curriculum for 5th grade? I would like

to see my son included with his typical peers as much as possible. He

has been in Science from K - 4th in the gen. curr. and there has been

no modifications written in his IEP for them, however the sped teacher

said he is receiving accommodations this year due to reading at a much

lower level.

Social Studies he was in the sped room this year because they felt the

vocabulary was too difficult.

When I mention modify the curriculum for 's level ... they just

kind of look at me. I honestly feel they don't know how to do this or

maybe they DON'T want to do it.
