Guest guest
Do cacao nibs need to be soaked before using them? It's the only thing I've put in a smoothie that didn't get really " smooth. " And how do you all use them, other than in smoothies? Many thanks - Deb
Guest guest
I don't--I buy cacao. This one is outrageous: http://www.ultimatesuperfoods.com/ItemDetail.aspx?comcode=FD & plinid=CACPOW & item=CPWHF8O & type=ts & plnmain=CACAO ; it's now my go-to cacao. This variety is considered less fine than Arriba but is more robust and much better suited to uses like baking and smoothies (Arriba is, if I'm not mistaken, used mainly in confectionery). I REALLY like this stuff and of course, it blends smoother than nibs. cacao nibs Do cacao nibs need to be soaked before using them? Guest guest
If you can fit it in the budget and can maybe find another person or two to go in on an order with you to defray shipping, definitely give this one a try--it's very special. Also, if you're using it in smoothies and such, not a whole lot is needed. It's kind of expensive for baking, though (although really good). Re: cacao nibs I don't--I buy cacao.
