Guest guest
Hmm...substitutes heavy cream for skim milk...a man after my own heart! (Sounds tasty, too.) Guest guest
Skim milk wasn't Paleo. Heavy cream is. Plus I needed some fat so the meal was balanced. Guest guest
I'm afraid I don't know what Paleo is. I do know that in general, I prefer cream to skim milk. I'm lucky enough to have access to organic, low-temp pasteurized heavy cream from Jerseys but it's REALLY expensive. However, I indulge once in a while. In fact, knowing that I'd be out of town and unable to keep up with my milk cultures, I cultured small amounts for backup before I left using 75% heavy cream to 25% milk (also from Jerseys) because they LOVE butterfat and do well in it for longer periods. The cultures survived just fine and I got to indulge in the leftovers. Guest guest
It's a diet most follow at my gym. Some call it the caveman diet. http://robbwolf.com/faq/#overview Meat, veggies, nuts, seeds, some fruit, low starch no sugar. So no rice, grains, pasta, beans, corn, bread. I do use whole milk if making a cappuccino so don't follow the diet 100%. Tony On 2/17/2011 10:22 PM, wrote: I'm afraid I don't know what Paleo is.
