Guest guest
Hi, The movie is called " Mad Hot Ballroom " and one of the schools that I am working in this year competes with them. They were not in the movie, but 2 of the dance teachers were. The kids are real NYC kids and the program is great. I saw 2 of my new teacher's classes perform in December, and they were awesome. One of the classes is a self contained special needs class grades 3-5. They all participated and a wheel chair bound boy was the DJ. The teacher, (one of mine) also danced with the kids. It is a very inspiring program in NYC inner city schools to give the kids some opportunities they may not otherwise have. It is a free program and the director offers kids who want to continue free classes. The competition is in February. There is a sequel on the horizon and its going to be about the founder of the program. Banderas is playing the lead- I cant wait for that!!!!!!! Guest guest
Well, my 10 year old was reading my email as I sent it, and just after I clicked " send " , I got the look. You know the one, it says how did I get stuck with such a lame parent. Then the eyes rolled up and she said " Mom, you got the title wrong, and you just watched it, jeez " . And she walked off shaking her head. I am sure she is now looking for new parents somewhere! Sharon H.
