Guest guest
Hi ! > Donna, you are braver than me! I've WATCHED parts > of > iMax1 and iMax2 and have yet to actually *do* them! > They scare me!! Hats off to you for actually DOING > them, yet alone iMax3! Well, I've only done IMax2 once. I think I actually prefer the original b/c it is less choreographed and when I'm gasping for air I really can't think to follow anything too tricky. I'm just going to do half of IMAX3 tomorrow. I need to break in slowly. A good interval workout that you might like to " prepare " for these might be Gin 's Intense Moves by Reebok. It is tough but for some reason it doesn't ahve quite the dread factor as the Cathes. I think b/c the actual interval portion is only 30 min...(if memory serves). The choreography is basic and Gin is extremely motivating. There is also a count down timer during the intervals that helps you to see how much time you have left - this really helps to keep you going when you feel you can't. Another like it is Voight's Energy Sprint. But this is " old " who doesn't show a whole lot of personality. Still, it is a good workout. > I took today off from exercising other than climbing > and decending 20 flights of stairs at work. I am > actually pretty sore from the Power 90X Cardio X > routine of Tony Horton's that I did yesterday, Sorry to hear about the soreness. The 20 flights of stairs is pretty impressive considering your sore legs, though! > > I watched part of the Plyometrics dvd of P90X and it > looks TOUGH! I was very > happy to see this included in the series. I was > also > thrilled to see that in addition to a yoga dvd there > is a stretch dvd too! Ooh. This is one (Plyo) that I would both dread and love. I'm not sure how Tony would do w/ yoga....I think stretching might be better with him. Also, did you know that there is an option to turn off his comments and just get his cues? I think Ilja mentioned that and I forgot about it. He is goofy and I can see how if you do the workouts over and over again that the comedy routine would get " old " . Is Dreya in any of the workouts? She was in the Power Half Hour series. > Tomorrow I'm doing Turbo Kick at the gym so you > won't > have any reviews from me for at least another day, > and > Fridays are usually a less intense day for me since > I > teach 3 classes over the weekend so my next reviews > may be along the lines of t'ai chi, restorative > yoga, > or tantric toning/meditation. Looking forward to hearing about those, too. I'm looking forward to doing the aerochi workouts next week almost as much, if not more, than the Cathe workouts I have lined up. > > Kassia, thanks for your OUTSTANDING reviews lately, > they really make me eager to try Yoga for Every Body > whenever my copy finally gets here! Yes, Kassia!!! > > To Jenn: it takes a few weeks before exercising > becomes a habit, something you just do without > thinking about it, so please don't be hard on > yourself. > > A good beginner series that you might like is > Project > You! by Beach Body. Perhaps having a " set " and a " structure " will help you develop the exercise habit. > Take care! Donna Stay connected, organized, and protected.
