Guest guest
To prevent soda ash I have always just covered my molds with wax paper. Of course my elaborate molds consist of paper box lids, so it is simple to lay wax paper across. Seems to be prevented as long as the surface is not exposed to the air. It has worked for me. _____NetZero Free Internet Access and Email______ http://www.netzero.net/download/index.html
Guest guest
Lil, once I started using castor in my soaps, no more soda ash. Prior to that I was told that covering with Glad Wrap after pouring helped as well, I do both and haven't had a soda ash problem for a long time. Alice ~ www.MooseCreekBathandBody.com ^-^-^-@@-^-^-^ (..)-----; ||---|| ^^ ^^ Any suggestions for soda ash? It's not bad, but I thought I had it under control after a really bad few batches last year. I'm wondering if my house might be too cold? I insulate the molds, but the shallow ones are the worst. (I heat with wood so it can get quite chilly here at night in the NH woods.) Thanks, Lil
