Guest guest
well, I thought I had seen it all on this list, but this recent series of posts on GSE really takes the cake...on one side we have several legitimate scientific studies showing the complete lack of effectiveness of non-adulterated GSE, from several unrelated sources. On the other side we have a manufacturer making the completely unsubstantiated and IMHO highly biased claim that their product is effective and unadulterated, but not offering any proof, such as copies of their own tests & trials. Add to this a pile of ambiguous utter nonsense on the 'danger' of paraben preservatives which again is completely unsubstantiated, and the choice appears obvious... But apparently, the desire to produce a possibly dangerous product with the dubious label of " natural " (like the emulsifying wax probably being used is so much more natural...) is stronger than some people's desire to produce a product that is safe to use. But hey, if we all completely willfully misunderstand the difference between safety testing and challenge testing and slap an inapplicable label on the product, we'll all be safe, right? Let's not worry about all the other aspects of Good Manufacturing Procedures while we're at it...or the fact that our liability insurance won't cover acts of willful negligence - houses are over-rated, aren't they... (hint...the 'safety' of a product is only tangentially related to its micro-organism population) Sign me cheesed, Jules
