Have you seen the Green Smoothie recipe on my website? It is a favorite of many - needs green grapes, apple, pineapple, banana, and greens (spinach is a good first "greens") and it can be easily adapted - add orange or replace something like the apple with an orange for instance.

Apples red cabbage kale and strawberries in addition to your list should be

plenty. Raw honey takes the edge of the green strong flavor!! Fun times to

come...

Be sure to throw at least some of the fruit in the freezer. The green grapes are a good starting point if you're nervous about using a lot of frozen ingredients to start. Forget about using ice! You'll get a tastier result without it.

I do have some frozen berries and mango already. I was trying to do fruit smoothies in a tribest personal blender. That left whole chunks of blueberries in the smoothie. I am sure that won’t be the case with the vitamix. I guarantee that won't happen with your Vitamix!

I'm excited for you! I just made my first green smoothie this morning (see my

post about it).

Before my Vitamix arrived the other day, I bought some apples, bananas, baby

spinach, and frozen strawberries and pineapple. I cut up a couple of the bananas

and froze them, and even put the container of fresh spinach into the freezer.

All that frozen stuff made my smoothie thick and frosty, and I didn't need to

use any ice in it.
